CKL Pool: Dehumidifying and heating like the big ones
The new compact and robust CKL Pool ventilation unit from WOLF in Mainburg is available in three sizes to meet the requirements of standard pool sizes in private homes, small hotels and therapy pools. The air flow rates range accordingly from 800 to 3,000 m³/h.
The CKL Pool units, which are powder-coated both inside and out, fit through small access openings and into confined plant rooms, and feature very large access hatches for servicing and maintenance work.
Thanks to pre-fitted pipework and wiring, they are plug-and-play ready and can be connected and commissioned quickly and easily without the need for a refrigeration certificate. The units comply with the requirements of the standard hygiene guidelines VDI 6022 and VDI 3803 and feature generously sized doors for cleaning and maintenance work. All units can be fitted with either water-based or electric heating coils to meet the requirements and those of the site-specific infrastructure.
From an air flow rate of 1,300 m³/h, an efficient heat pump is integrated as standard in the CKL Pool. The heat pump is designed for both heating and dehumidification. Whether using standard ON/OFF control or capacity modulation, the heat pump additionally recovers heat from the exhaust air. Optional a condenser for heating the pool water is also available.
The R513A refrigerant is neither toxic nor flammable. To facilitate installation within a building, the upper section of the unit can be completely removed without affecting the pipework in the lower section or the heat pump.
Constant conditions in the indoor swimming pool
Despite its very small footprint, the CKL Pool offers a comprehensive range of features: it is fully wired at the factory with optimally positioned sensors. The integrated control system, featuring Direct Digital Control regulators, continuously and conveniently adjusts the operating modes and air flow rate to maintain the desired conditions in the swimming pool hall, even when outdoor air conditions vary. The external, pre-wired control cabinet can also be accessed remotely via a web browser. The control system is compatible with the WOLF Smartset system and Link Pro. Modbus interfaces are used for communication with a building management system; BACnet/IP, LON and a web module are also available as options. The external control cabinet can be positioned at any desired location.
Compact, continuously variable and energy-efficient EC fans from leading European manufacturers ensure low energy consumption. Similarly, the epoxy-coated aluminium plate heat exchanger ensures high heat recovery. This not only ensures low operating costs – the heat exchanger is also highly recyclable.
